Dallas Cowboy Micah Parsons discusses the 49ers’ free agency and the departure of important players.

During the NFL’s free agency period, Micah Parsons, a standout for the Dallas Cowboys, offered his thoughts on the San Francisco 49ers’ postseason debut and welcomed the team to reality.

Parson’s rookie quarterback comment appears to be about Brock Purdy, an Iowa state product who is eligible for a contract extension and will become an unrestricted free agent after this season. Purdy currently makes $5.4 million, but he could make around $50 million once he signs an extension. Some have cited that upcoming contract as a reason the 49ers lost so many players because they no longer have the benefit of a cheap quarterback on a rookie contract. The post was made after the team had cut or lost several key players, including Dre Greenlaw, Charvarius Ward, Javon Hargrave, and Talanoa Hufanga, among others.
