Lemmy Kilmister, the iconic frontman of Motörhead and the eternal face of unapologetic rock ’n’ roll, is getting a tribute of monumental proportions—quite literally. In the small yet proud town of Burslem, a colossal $8.5 million project is underway, one that promises to immortalize the gravel-voiced legend in steel, stone, and eternal thunder.

 

The project, dubbed “Ace of Spades Plaza”, began construction earlier this summer on the very street where Lemmy once skipped school to buy his first guitar. The monument is designed not just as a statue but as a full-blown fan sanctuary—complete with a towering 60-foot bronze likeness of Lemmy gripping his signature Rickenbacker bass, a stage-shaped fountain that blasts water in time with Motörhead riffs, and a “Wall of Sound” tunnel that plays remastered live recordings 24/7.
